Not a lot of brick houses in Seattle, but there are plenty of wood frame houses, the bounty of the logging industry in the Pacific Northwest. The streets are tree lined, and happily so since it was very hot when I was there.

There’s a restrained, Arts and Crafts style prevalent around the Capitol Hill neighborhood, a short ten minute bus ride from downtown.
