Deeper into the O’Fallon Neighborhood #3

The beautiful houses continue on the streets right next to O’Fallon Park, with a mixture of interesting architectural styles from the late Nineteenth to early Twentieth centuries.

The street grid of the old O’Fallon estate intersects with the College Hill neighborhood and creates a triangle of strange shaped blocks.

This beautiful store building has apartments up above and I imagine that owners of the two businesses would have lived upstairs.

Sadly, these older houses are now increasingly abandoned and dilapidated.

  1. Thanks for sharing these photos. I have never seen much of this neighborhood. No longer live in St. Louis, but next time I visit I will need to explore this neighborhood. Perusing google streetview has revealed some beautiful homes that remind me of Central West End.
