Forest Park Parkway

Debaliviere Place 018

Once described as an old-fashioned interstate, Forest Park Parkway seems almost an afterthought after the construction of Interstate Highway System. Its curves cut through Forest Park, before ending unceremoniously at I-170. The century old bridges that carry surface streets over it are coming to the end of their lives.

  1. As a wustl student I’ve never understood Forest Park Parkway–the way it severs the campus from the neighborhood to the north is pretty brutal in my opinion. Though I suppose some people view that as a good thing.
