McKee Finished?

Various-252

Back when this website first began in 2007, there was a mysterious shell company called Blairmont buying up houses in North St. Louis. They thought no one would notice. Someone did. I used to post “current events” articles back in the day on this site, but tend not to any more. This one is too important to neglect. Read about the current status, as of April 2015, of what we now call Northside.

Update: In May of 2016, Northside secured a bailout from city government for the southwestern portion of St. Louis Place, pegged as the new site of the National Geospatial Mapping Agency. In June of 2018, Paul McKee was sued by the Attorney General of Missouri for tax credit fraud, one day after the City attempted to cut tied with Northside.

Man…I really hope he’s out of options, time, and everything else. I know that’s wishful thinking…but…what a clown that guy is. His website, his philosophy, his pattern of “development” and actions in general all point towards a modern, more PC version of Mill Creek Valley.

    Agree.

Incremental. Sustainable. Organic. Responsible. Community-Driven, City-Supported. Safe. Watchwords for future development.

Small steps, one house, one block, one school at a time.

So where did all the TIF money go? McKee didn’t actually get any of it, did he?

    1. Chris Naffziger says:

      Good question; I don’t know.

  4. Mark says:

I believe he got some TIF money for acquisition and carrying costs, but I’m not certain.

It’s really shameful that the city and its aldermen voted to seize what few houses remain in that area!
