Castlewood Lodges, Revisited

I photographed the old hotels and ruins around Castlewood again a couple of weekends ago; I would be interested to hear from readers if they can identify these structures.

Is this house below once a rental cottage from the resort era?

I know with some certainty that this apartment building was once a hotel; does anyone know its name?

Not sure if you’re still seeking this information, but the ruins in the first two photos are the remains of the Lone Wolf Club, a 1930s speakeasy that stayed in business up through the ’80s, I believe.

Not sure if that particular home in the third picture was a cabin from the era, but there are still several remaining in the area. They were generally two stories, very square, with dark brown siding, like here: http://castlewoodmo.com/images/index.php?image=126&scroll=0

The building in the last photo (now residential apartments) was known as the Cross Roads Inn and was apparently very popular because of the tasty chocolate sodas they sold.

    Great site, by the way!
