The house above is really two apartments, which you can see in the two front doors. It sits next to single family houses, such as the ones below.
If you look below, you can see that the dormers alternate between single and double windows on the third floor.
All 5 of those houses are extremely similar. Would you say they were designed by the same person? I feel like that hasn’t been seen a lot in this neighborhood. Maybe 2 or 3, but never 5.
Definitely. They were probably all built at once by the same builder, and the variances might have been made by the carpenters and masons on site, who had the skills to add variety as they saw fit. This is a standard building type that probably didn’t even have a “named” architect like a mansion on Westmoreland Place would have.
