My two great-uncles, longterm German-American monumentalists who ran the Speh Monument Co. (1876–1964) were involved in the Lemp project.
Many years later they did the present generation Busch monument at Sunset Memorial Park, which they also helped develop for owner “Sox” Christman, as well as the Catholic Resurrection Cemetery in Shrewsbury. Notable monuments they created there include the Kriegshauser, Fabick and Wander large family monuments, largely crafted by hand out of “Rock of Ages” Barre Grey Granite.
