Chris Christen Pontiac

Update: Thanks to longtime and valued reader Tom Maher, this was identified as Chris Christen Pontiac. The identification was corroborated by old advertisements in the Post-Dispatch.

I found this old building, just east of Kienlen Avenue at 6171 Natural Bridge in Pine Lawn. Does anyone remember what this was? It looks like an old car dealership or garage (which was also its last use).

Back in the early ’50s,it was the home of Chris Christen Pontiac. Dunno hiw ong that lasted, but I’d venture into at least the later ’60s.
Most recently (again, dunno the timeline), it was the home of an Earl Scheib operation.

Nope – just recall it from driving around.

We lived in Northwoods and my dad bought a 65 Pontiac there. That would have been…probably around 1968. The salesman was a musician friend of his, I remember. Don’t remember his name.

Yes, that is Tom. How sad that is to hear. Thank you for letting me know. BTW, I removed that link because it is going to an unsecured site. For those wanting to read Tom’s obituary, here is a link to a secured website:
