Old Chain of Rocks Bridge

Update: I went back in April of 2016 to take more photographs. See earlier photographs from the new bridge from December of 2009 and also from a boat in the river in 2015. A historic photograph was added in February of 2021.

The Chain of Rocks Bridge is amazing; arching across the Mississippi River in the far north of St. Louis.

Read more about the bridge and its significance here.

It is really, really windy out in the middle of the bridge, not surprisingly, perhaps.

The juxtaposition of positive and negative space makes for some interesting photographs.
