Update: I went back and revisited Shaw Place in November of 2021.

Supposedly Henry Shaw designed Shaw Place to remind himself of his youth growing up in England.

A private street, is is very difficult to see into this exclusive enclave just south of I-44.

The architecture seems to me to be Italianate, but there is a certain eclecticism to it.

Apparently they were originally built as rental properties by Shaw to generate income for his garden.
