I think these little guys have so much potential. It would be perfect for an artist, who could live in one house, and have a studio in the other, and the alley house could serve as a rental property. You know, sort of like how these houses were designed originally. As incomes continue to stagnate in America, smaller houses should theoretically become more popular.
Plus, the cost of restoring smaller houses like those is less than the larger, two-story houses that make up most of the streetscape. It can become a less-expensive, DIY-type restoration/renovation. I wonder which landbank owns and refuses to sell these two houses – LRA or McKee?
I think you can get that mortar in a tube at the Home Despot. Could be a DIY project!
Couple of nice little houses, what street is that on? It is easy enough to look ownership up. One question for the silent city government and McKee is how are homes like this going to be integrated into the larger fabric, if they are in fact in McKee’s area, with the NGA relocating off of Cass North to St. Louis Ave I’m sure the speculators are in full swing at this point.
