I’m concerned about the long term condition of the former Temple Israel at the northwest corner of Holy Corners, Kingshighway and Washington Boulevard. Its roof was almost completely ripped off by the tornado of May 16, 2025, and I haven’t seen any attempts to cover the hole since then. There was an article in the Jewish Light about the Temple Israel congregation, which has moved out west, helping the current Christian church which had occupied the building, with helping the restoration, but that seems to not have started yet. I do not think the prognosis is good.

I have looked at Holy Corners twice in the past, back in January of 2009 and November of 2020.
Temple Israel at Holy Corners is a staunch piece of architecture which lost its’ entablature ends for some reason ?? The present Congregation may not be as wealthy as the building is grand however. Years can pass and such buildings will continue to serve well BUT when a major hit occurs, often owners enjoying past architectural talent and strength have not kept basic insurance for hazards and bingo the fine thing is destroyed by economics. I wish the congregation well. The roof on the Delmar & Union huge former Presbyterian church has been replaced 100 % beautifully.
Yeah, the roof on the Presbyterian church looks amazing–and is complete.
I repeat that I would gladly chip in a few bucks towards you flying a drone with a camera for a better shot of the roof. Since St. Louis Patina is non-commercial, your license is $5.
