Turning right from Garrison Avenue onto St. Louis Avenue, we pass by the abandoned Grace Lutheran, and then past the Lindell Park subdivision, which has avoided much of the Northside TIF purchases.

But east of here, there are vacant lots of many former McKee buildings, some of which were demolished now close to twenty years ago. I photographed the church many times over the years, such as here.

For the longest time, as can be seen in these photos, the abandoned buildings were some of the more iconic structures in North St. Louis. Now it is nothing but vacant lots. I went by in the winter of 2024, as well.
