The block containing the Arcade-Wright and Paul Brown Buildings is the only block with completely preserved historic office buildings.
The masterfully restored Arcade-Wright Building, with its distinctive shopping arcade, is one of the most important renovations in the last decade.
Writer should come by and do a follow up article on the buiiling and its’ current nuisance property/tenant issues. The building is beautiful from the outside, but the apartments were poorly designed with sounds of all kinds transferred between units, including loud music, sexual activity, pot and/or cigarette smoking in the apartments and stairwells. If I don’t use an alias, there is very likely retaliation from management in my future. There are damaged lobby doors, that allow homeless to find places to sleep overnight, leaving butts, trash and/or tampons lying in the stairwells and constant security company changeovers, leaving many artist tenants and market rate tenants vulnerable and exposed to dangerous encounters. If you talk to Dominium management, they will deny, deny, deny or generally downplay tenants’ complaints.
