I decided to see how my favorite tree in St. Louis was doing in the Biddle Mausoleum, which I last looked at back in June of 2020.

It’s one of the oldest structures in St. Louis, even if it has technically been moved from downtown and an earlier cemetery.

Dormant at the time I visited, the tree seemed to be doing fine.

The mausoleum is one of the more interesting in St. Louis, and while the interior is closed due to falling stone, you cans still see the high-relief portrait busts of Thomas Biddle, who died in a duel on Bloody Island, and his wife, Anne Mullanphy Biddle.
