Update: The building above was demolished in the second half of 2020.
I thought the house above on St. Louis Avenue was a recent victim of brick theft, but I found an old picture here that shows it was ravaged long ago. It’s amazing that it’s still standing after what’s been done to it. The building below, in Hyde Park, almost certainly is a victim of brick theft. While new laws have cracked down on copper scrapping, it seems that brick theft is still continuing unabated.
