In order for College Hill to begin to become populated again, there needs to be some redevelopment of an entertainment district of some kind to draw people to the area, similar to what has happened/happening in The Grove. Start with restoring the Grand Water Tower. -Add a fountain around the base, replace the asphalt street in the roundabout with cobblestones including speed bumps to deter morons as shown in 3/14 post, build quality bldgs around the water tower that match the great architecture of the surrounding area. But, the new bldgs could be set back from the street European style to allow for patio seating surrounding the new town square! We could have piano bars, micro breweries, restaurants, bowling alleys, wine bars, ice cream shop, etc. -This should have happened 40 years ago, but it’s not too late to salvage what’s left. The respectable residents that have stayed deserve it! Why should the criminals have their way?

Indeed. I noted after I took this picture how it seems like the City has basically given up on this area ever having buildings again by its decision to plant trees in the vacant lots.

I think you’re right. Not in our lifetime, at least.
