Obviously there’s a huge amount of work going on inside Crestwood Plaza, but the parking garage for the old Stix, Baer and Fuller is coming down slowly.
Stylistically, the Stix, later Dillard’s department store was the most aesthetically pleasing, but apparently the parking deck was structurally unstable, and it has to be demolished.
The two circular ramps, which had been blocked off for years even when the mall was open, are gone now.
Concrete hangs from rebar, as often seen at these demolitions, giving a surreal feel to the scene.
Weird to think I once walked and parked my car where there is now nothing but thin air.
