Dutchtown West of Grand Boulevard, Part Five

What is interesting, however, in this incredibly dense neighborhood of apartment buildings, is how there are a scattering of single family houses thrown in here and there in the part of Dutchtown west of South Grand Boulevard.

Take, for example, these two bungalows above that I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere else in the city, with large porches, one of which has been enclosed.

There are also much larger houses, such as the one below, but there are more modest ones such as the Dutch Colonial below.

There are also these two examples that are more eclectic in their design.

Using the page: “City Map” I cannot find Dutchtown. I’m guessing it’s a part of a larger area.

Mark, it’s there. Look northeast of Carondelet Park and south of Tower Grove Park.
