Next up in our examination of the built environment of Dutchtown west of South Grand Boulevard, we’ll look at four-family flats built in the 1910s and 20s.

What is interesting to me is the configuration of the front doors; sometimes they are right next to each other, but also you can see above there are two paired doors and then two far doors on the ends.

Also, we see Arts and Crafts style four-families as well as more eclectic styles.

The one below even has some almost Art-Deco elements along its cornice.

Then, we see another permutation, which is the four-family with three front doors where the two flanking doors access the first floor units, while the center door accesses a stairwell that leads to the two upstairs units.

The four-family below was clearly constructed by the same company as the large complexes I looked at before.
