While the beautiful houses of the Central West End are well known, I feel like I need to come back again and again to north of Delmar, in this case to the Visitation Park neighborhood, to show how stately homes are here, as well.

There are houses such as the one below that are fairly common.

But then there are houses such as the one below that is truly unique and unlike any other house that I’ve ever seen in the city.

The house below with its rounded porch is the sort of detail that I often see in the neighborhoods just north of the Loop.

And there is even some in-fill, as well.
