Update: I revisited the area in May of 2022.

I’ve said it countless times before, but I’m worried about the incredibly historic houses that are slowly being swallowed by the industrial buildings in the southeastern end of Carondelet, down by the river.

Some are so old they are stone, but many are brick, and they are going vacant at an alarming rate.
