I always find a certain tragic irony in seeing the houses built to stave off neighborhood abandonment–sitting abandoned. So cheaply built that its structure is of no value to scrappers (its historic neighbors have all been savaged by brick thieves) it sits awaiting tax payers to foot the bill for demolition, just as they had paid to have it built.
First a tragedy, then a farce. What comes after farce?
Sad, very sad! Is there a line of these homes or is the last one standing?
This is the last one on the block, but they’re all over the city.
