Kiel Opera House technically isn’t it’s original name, either, right?
Dislike corporate naming rights all you like, but the fact remains that the renovation would not have occurred without this type of financial help.
Despite smug references, you can’t lament a name when the alternative is having the venue still closed.
Official name is Peabody Opera House at Kiel, if I remember the old press promotions when it reopened.
