I stumbled across this public housing complex in northern East St. Louis.
It is extremely isolated, and it was surprising to be driving around two story houses, and heavy undergrowth, to all of the sudden see these manila brick-colored apartments rise above the tree line.
They are operated by the East St. Louis Housing Authority.
I can’t imagine this is a convenient place to live, so far from anything. Two of the four buildings are abandoned.
Isn’t this near Landsdowne Jr. High School?
Not sure; I believe that Lansdowne Junior High is closed, or has been renamed. It is about a mile from the high school and middle school complex.
