Norwood Square, Wells-Goodfellow

Update: As of 2021, there has been more abandonment and demolition.

Norwood Square has already been thoroughly and eloquently documented here, but I offer up my own pictures as a chronicle of the rise and fall of Norwood Square.

According to a neighborhood boy, this is where the “rich” people live.

It is sad to think that the settling of the ground, so visible in the bends and cracks on the houses, will eventually claim many of the wonderful homes in this unique subdivision.

Update: Here are additional outtakes from the vault, added in late November of 2018.

"According to a neighborhood boy, this is where the "rich" people live."very interesting, considering the only records, in recent years, for homes sales are as followed.http://stlouis.blockshopper.com/property/44970300300/3012_e_norwood_drive/http://stlouis.blockshopper.com/property/44970300400/3018_e_norwood_drive/

Indeed, those are two of the most heavily damaged houses in the development due to the uneven settling of fill underneath the houses. They didn't look occupied when I went by.
