The Romans were famous for stealing Egyptian obelisks and setting them up in temples in Rome, particularly at the Iseum in the Campus Martius.

I think you can figure out what he is famous for. He was a landowner of significant means, and his will was of substantial length! He owned most of the land in the eastern Central West End.


When Europeans revived the obelisk as a classical motifs, they altered the form of the ancient Egyptian form, so yes, this monument below can also be considered an obelisk.
