Update: The building is now abandoned as of the winter of 2022, but probably much earlier.
I’m curious if anyone remembers visiting the Falstaff Hospitality Room or the Brewing Museum on Gravois. It seems to be a payday loan office now. The museum closed in 1977.
Wasn’t this a restaurant called Sir John’s Den years ago? If so, I went there as a teen with my parents.
Can you tell me more about Sir John’s Den, Kiwi? I don’t know about it.
Gosh, that was in the late 60s, and my recollection is a tad fuzzy. I remember a steak and prime rib kind of menu and a decor with a lot of Falstaff collectibles.
Huh. I ride past that everyday on my way to work. Never knew its history before. Thanks.
My dad used to work there. It had a hospitality room for events and a museum in the basement with life size dioramas of brewing processes.
So cool, Deborah! Do you have any old photographs?
