
Passing by Pennsylvania Avenue, we proceed east on Osage Street and spot this interesting little doorway filled in with a palisade fence.

I wonder if it was original to the building or if it was added in later to provide for more security. Regardless, it is such a great little detail, though I wish it hadn’t been filled in so incongruously with wood off the shelf from a big box hardware store.

Next tup is this incredibly old house, which once had all sorts of decorations on the front but now they have been removed. I suspect that it originally it was once of the first houses built out in this end of the St. Louis Commons.

There is also this little house next door.

Then we make it to Nebraska Avenue where there is this corner store.
