Pike Place Market remains one of the most famous public markets in the United States, so I visited the market while in Seattle.
As far as fresh seafood, there’s probably very few places in the United States where you can buy such high quality seafood as fresh as at Pike Place.
I will say that I felt our own Soulard Market stood up fairly well to the more famous Pike Place Market.? While Pike Place has more tourist related stores, Soulard matched its Seattle cousin in terms of size, and barring fresh seafood, probably sells more fresh produce.? St. Louisans need to embrace Soulard Market like Seattlites have embraced and marketed Pike Place Market,
Also, if you’re confused about the correct restroom to enter, the tile on the floor helpfully directs to the correct chromosomal arrangement: XY for men, XX for women.
