Update: The elevated highway was finally closed forever in early 2o19, and was demolished for a new waterfront development. A tunnel was built to replace the traffic lanes lost with the demolition of the elevated lanes.
It seems that the city of Seattle is going through the same process of attempting to revive that city’s connection with its waterfront. Read the article here; God only hopes that the proposal shown in the article never happens. All I can say is that someone has been playing too much Sim City.
