The intersection of Washington and Rosedale features a whole row of apartment buildings, with clean lines and front doors inspired by Michelangelo, alternating between half lunette and pediment lintels.
Then there are a row of perfectly painted Arts and Crafts tw0-family houses.
Then come the rows of elegant single family houses, with Beaux-Arts details with ancient Greek and Roman influences, with pedimented dormer windows, or whole roof fronts shaped like temples.
It’s a shame that most of these same houses that occur north of Delmar have not been maintained in this same fashion…
