It’s hard to tell without context, but is the clock house the one that has all the crazy inflatables at Christmas?

    1. Chris Naffziger says:

Judging from the various accouterments right now, I would not be surprised. Anyone out there know?

      1. John says:

I think it is… On street view (Sep 2011) this same house (6426) has an analog clock on the outside wall to the right of where the digital clock is now, and I remember the crazy house having a clock outside. It seems to be in about the right place now that I see it on the map, too.

Kinda reminds me of when I had the inflatable of Munch’s “The Scream” mounted in a dormer window of my house. One or two times a year I would get a visit from the Kirkwood PD when a passerby would notice “someone held captive in an attic.” The LEOs here eventually got used to it…
I think it’s time for her/him to make another appearance…

I had all sorts of whimsical inflatables in my bike shop, including The Scream, a mummy, a big T. Rex – and some smaller animals. The whole idea was to make the place stand out as “That bike shop with the (fill in the blank).”

          Wow, what a story.

I forgot the huge pteranodon “flying” from the shop’s 14′ ceiling; its wingspan was over 5′.

Tom bess lives there, he owns tom bess automitive down by Morganford. I toured that house when it was on the stl hills house tour. It was very gaudy, everything was gilded and extravagant and just not tasteful (that’s just my opinion). Yes he puts out all the inflatables too. He used to have a huge circular clock on the outside, guess he went digital. The runners around the park like it, not sure why he does it.

    1. Yojimbo says:

Because the runners around the park like it?

I think that’s the house also used to have a ton of lion things outside as well. It looks like they still have a few, but they used to have tons of lion lawn ornaments, and a giant stuffed lion or tiger in the front window. I think they had something new every time I drove past for a while.
