North of Koeln Avenue, which is the Germanish spelling of Cologne, we first past by Lyon School, which we’ve looked at before and then we see a more diverse mix of houses.

Wood frame houses site next to later brick houses with small Mansard roofs.

Then there is this heavily altered house below.

This house below is an incredibly early example of the Italianate style, but has lost much of its cornice details such as its brackets.

Then this Second Empire houses has siding placed over its roof.

What is also interesting are these two wood frame houses, particularly the hipped roof house on the right, which shows that there were increasingly wealthy residents moving in before brick was becoming prominent as a building material.
