
Looking into a tip a reader provided me, I went and looked at a burned out hulk of a house down in Carondelet. It’s never good when a house sits in this state for any amount of time.

I then headed around the corner and went up Virginia Avenue, which is a mixed bag of abandonment and healthy houses.

Houses range in age from probably the 1870s to the 1940s.




I wonder if the house below actually has its kitchen in the basement, which is more common in St. Louis than many people realize.


We then reach this section of Virginia Avenue which I looked at back in 2021 after a short break in the street.
