These houses, sitting right up against the wild underbrush on the other side of old streetcar tracks, were built in 1906. I was surprised, as the buildings nearby are much newer, by several decades. The roofs are strange as well. Wellston is on the other side of these houses, where St. Louis’s street grid comes to an end, unlike further south where avenues such as Wydown or Forsyth seemlessly transition to St. Louis County.
