Wells-Goodfellow #40, Around Wabada Avenue

This little house is interesting; I wonder if it is wood frame with stucco and that little porch. It’s in bad shape now.

The house below is one of the first I ever photographed in Wells-Goodfellow.

Yet another one of those red-tiled and brown brick four family apartment buildings sits abandoned and vandalized.

Outstanding photos. Really hope the new mayor will address some of these concerns

      We’ll find out soon!

My guess is that the new mayor will advocate the same policies as the previous mayor (and the previous mayor and the previous mayor, etc.): demolish, demolish, demolish. Oh, and give land, buildings, and money to well-connected developers, regardless of intent or track record.

Mr. White, I have to agree. Just yesterday in the news, at a news conference in Wells-Goodfellow, the mayor and alderman were touting how MSD’s demolition of vacant houses “will open up these lots for reinvestment.” What planet do they live on???
