Demolitions and Ruins

Update: The site is now a vacant lot.

The three houses in Old North (last photo) just north of Crown Candy are now gone, but I’m noticing something new; they’re removing the basements now and not just simply pushing the dirt into the hole. Below, a four family I photographed on Hebert Street back in June of 2018 (fourth photo down), has been scooped from the earth and is gone.

While further east, the apartments knocked down late in 2019 have been neatly palatalized; I’m amazed they haven’t been stolen, to be honest.

Heading south on North Jefferson Avenue, I checked up on the sad HUD house that I’ve looked at before on Dodier Street back in April of 2017 and November of 2015. It is collapsing even more, as are its neighbors.
