Update: I revisited the house in December of 2022.
Located around the corner from the abandoned housing project, this Italianate mansion hearkens backs to the glory days of Hyde Park. It appears to be occupied; don’t these owners deserve something better than a trashed project next door?

That property has a pretty interesting history. It’s too bad the property doesn’t look, at least, like it did a few years ago…found the following pic @ stlhomeswithsoul.com

Yikes, it sure has changed, hasn’t it?
There was a push 10-ish years ago by Freeman Bosley Sr. to redevelop that area, but obviously…that didn’t pan out.
I actually looked into buying that place! The inside is terrible. They have removed the grand staircase, the majority of wiring and plumbing is gone, the marble mantles have been mostly removed and I cannot figure out why but there is purple green and gold stucco on many of the walls. I still have the pictures I took somewhere I think.
Chloe I’d love to see the interior pics. I’ve always kind of wondered about that house.
