Further north, we approach the end of Alaska Avenue at Osceola Street.

There are row after row of one story tract homes, each different in their brick color and pattern, but still basically the same house that are three bays wide and a metal cornice.

The metal cornices were made in a workshop during the winter and then installed when the building season began in the spring. Bricklaying is generally a bad idea during the winter.

What makes these neighborhoods so special is that each house has taken on its own life in the last one hundred years with little adaptions and renovations, and even lawn art.
