Update: The houses have been demolished.
Yes, there is a street in St. Louis where there is an active train track going right through people’s front yards. It is Antelope Street in the Baden neighborhood, and you reach it by turning right just after the viaduct when you’re heading north on Broadway.
“Wait a minute,” I said to myself, “wasn’t that house fine last winter?”
Yes, it was, and it has been destroyed by fire sometime in 2018. This area is overgrown, ruined by illegal dumping, and seemingly forgotten. What do we do to help the people still living on this street?

My friend lived at that burned down house for years. Heard it was burned down sometime in 2018. I lined there as recently as 2011. I lived on the next street over, Blase. I wonder if any of those homes still exist or are even inhabited. The street is blocked off from Broadway and last I saw, was blocked off from Blase.
I think everything has been demolished.
