Carter Carburetor, Sitting Empty

I guess when people from the East Coast make fun of us being in the Rust Belt, they’re talking about places like Carter Carburetor, abandoned for years and severely polluted. For those of you who don’t know what a carburetor is, read about it here.

    Well, this is the end game of 30 years spent pursuing conservatism. To add insult to injury, these places close up and leave their polluted mess for others to clean up.

    Welcome to the country that Reagan and countless other republicans created. This is what the white middle class voted for. They thought they were voting to cut off the “welfare queens”, as Reagan called them, but what they got was their jobs shipped away, their futures darkened and their standard of living set into decline.

    Actually, this is due to fuel injection replacing carburetors. Nice try though.

      Can you tell us some stories? It’s been demolished and is now a vacant lot.
