The stately Chaminade College Preparatory School sits on Lindbergh Boulevard, and is operated by the Society of Mary. It opened in 1910 as a boarding school, when it was far out in the countryside and reached by train.

It is a nice composition that has not been altered on its front elevation in over a hundred years, with its additions on the back side.
