I never get tired of the architecture of Cherokee Street east of Jefferson; it was built long before the storefronts of Cherokee west of Jefferson, so it has a totally different flavor.
There is a bakery going into the old Shangri-La Diner space.
Other institutions are continuing on as well, such as PhD Gallery. I find alleys in the area fascinating, because they give you a completely different perspective on the neighborhood, showing you the non-public areas of the city.
