College Hill in the Snow #29: 1500 and 1900 Blocks of College Avenue

College Avenue is an interesting mix of buildings, to say the least. There is the famous house above, and there is the stately Tudor Revival house below. We first spotted the house above in May of 2010 (fifth photo), and it still intrigues us. It was not a single parcel originally, but rather a row of narrow properties.

The Tudor Revival mansion has an interesting story as well, and the descendants recently contacted me. More about this beautiful house in the future.

And then there is the beautiful Lutheran church of St. Jacob’s further east on College Avenue, which I have photographed before as well, here and here.
