Constantino Nivola Concrete Sculpture, 1960, Barnes-Jewish Hospital

The fascinating eleven panel work, Untitled, by Constantino Nivola, was moved from the Wohl Building to a hallway of the main Barnes-Jewish complex.

Using the artist’s “sandcasting” technique, it reminds me of my childhood in Midland, Michigan, that featured Modernist sculptures such as these throughout the region.
