Update: This house, as well as a large stretch of the north side of Carman Road in between Highway 141 and Weidman Road, was completely demolished and cleared for a new subdivision in 2019.
I remember this house from growing up on Carman Road; it’s a cool little house, built in the 1960’s most likely, with large, plate glass windows overlooking trees. The coolest feature is the built-in carport that allows the driver to pull in underneath the second floor of the house. It is next to impossible to photograph well since that stretch of Carman has no sidewalks or places to pull over. I snapped this serendipitously due to the lack of tailgating cars behind me.
I loved driving past this house too on my way to take piano lessons when I was 9 or 10. I’m now 17 and I live off Carman further east past Weidman, and this house has sadly been lost to yet another residential development The Estates at Carman Woods. 🙁
Oh my gosh, I just confirmed this by looking at Google Street View! I can’t believe it! They destroyed a whole swath of that whole north side of the road through there. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, as sad as the news is.
