The interior of the Dillard Mill is perfectly preserved, and still runs as it had for over one hundred years.
Tours are offered year-round where you can watch the machinery operate.

I forgot to add (no editing available)…While OT a tad – my family camoed at Alley Spring back in 1952. While the mill was not operating, the ranger took us kids through as a special treat and Gee! it was neat!I recall the water from the spring was so pure we were able to drink it – and eat watercress pulled from near the bank
