This fine building, described as dilapidated by the news media, has giant timbers holding up its interior. Actually four structures technically, they are built together as a single building in appearance.
Update: The building below was destroyed by fire in October of 2022.
Then a train bearing the sinister number of “6661” came charging through the farce.
The note about it technically being four structures but reading as one building makes the February 2024 fire feel even more damaging. I’d be curious to compare the Sanborn map layout with newer visual documentation, and TopView AI / could be a useful reference for that kind of before-and-after context.
