West Florissant Avenue is perhaps more famous for being a massive commercial and traffic artery out in North County, particularly through Ferguson and Dellwood and further beyond, but it is a bit of a curious street south of Interstate 70. It is lined with funeral homes, and then some very nice stately homes in the O’Fallon Park neighborhood.

The vast majority are in great condition, and speak to the wealth of the neighborhoods around the park when this area was first developed. It is still a middle class community.

But sadly, further south into College Hill, abandonment and vacant lots are more prevalent north of Grand Boulevard.
